MEET OFFICIALS & CLUB ASSIGNMENTS
Please bring the list of your officials to the seeding meeting on Monday, July 24, 2023. Each club is expected to cover their assignments, as indicated, for the entire meet. With the exception of Deck Officials, each club should develop their own system for providing relief, if necessary, and the passing along of Official Badges.
Note: Official Badges do not provide free admission to the meet, but they will allow access to the pool deck. There will be meetings for the Deck Officials, Timers, and Clerks of Course at 8:00 AM. Badges will be distributed at this meeting. Awards personnel should report to the awards room in the designated area at the same time.

In accordance with Cherry Bowl Rules, all Deck Officials must have current Tri-County certification or other current certifications (USAS, NCAA, or High School). Specific assignments will be made on the day of the meet by the Meet/Deck Referee. Relief for these officials will be assigned only by the Meet Referee. The assigned Deck Official, Starter, or Referee Official from each club must be available for the entire meet and should be one of the club’s more experienced officials.
The Meet/Deck Referee shall be in charge of the meet. Any questions regarding the conduct of the meet should be made directly to him/her. The Meet/Deck Referee has final judgment for any issues that arise on the day of the meet and during the course of the meet.
This meet will be governed by current USA Swimming Rules. Fly-over starts will be used at this meet for all events involving swimmers age 9 and up. All swimmers (except for Backstroke starts) should remain in the water at the completion of their race until the next heat has begun.
A Meet Jury will adjudicate any protests including issues of conduct which may occur in the meet venue. All protests must be in writing to the Meet/Deck Referee. The Meet Jury will consist of the Meet Director, an Athlete, and a Coach. The Athlete and Coach members of the jury will be appointed by the Meet Referee. The Meet Referee will act as a mediator.
All legal swims will be awarded and scored.
